this was the second time for me to ever REALLY work with him in the round pen, it was on Father's Day and what a great Father's Day present? for him to surrender his trust to me was a feeling that i'll never forget. we've now perfected our leading skills.

it's me again! haha. my family and i JUST got home from paul's valley, oklahoma. gosh, that was a LONGGGG ride! but goodness, it was beautiful up there! i'm so glad we went, and i'm excited that we have our mustangs! i'm so happy that i got the one that i did, he's a gelding and he's gorgeous! i still have to come up with a name for him because i can't find one that suits him just right yet. lol

well hello everyone, now i'm not going to lie. i'm not all that thrilled to do the extreme mustang makeover '09. i've never loved mustangs near as much as my mom has, which is who signed me up for the competition. i've always just been content with my quarter horse mare, cherokee. (which, by the way, is to the left) my mom figures i should give it a try and see how things go, which, i'm willing to do. so hopefully i draw from this experience and become a better horseman, or horsewoman, for that matter. anyways, i'd like to let everyone know my feelings before i go into the training and competition processes. hopefully, somewhere in between here and there my emotions will change, and my little mustang will grow on me.. who knows, i might even become attatched? it's getting late at night, and i've gotta go now, but i'll try to post on here as much as possible.
